EPEAT ®


Dynabook offers many EPEAT registered products, which can be found by searching the EPEAT registry. In addition, Dynabook offers the following products and services for its EPEAT registered products: Services offered for products registered to EPEAT (IEEE 1680.1™)

  1. Identification of materials and components requiring selective treatment (4.3.1.1.)
    Dynabook makes available to reuse and recycling facilities information on how to identify the presence and location of all materials and components that require selective treatment in the product maintenance manual. To obtain this information, contact Dynabook by email at: DBA-Business-Support@dynabook.com
  2. Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program (4.6.2.1.)
    Dynabook offers a FREE removable rechargeable battery recycling program to ensure that once your battery reaches the end of its useful life that it is recycled responsibly. For more information on how to recycle your end-of-life rechargeable battery, please visit https://www.call2recycle.org/
  3. Service Support (4.4.1.1.)
    Dynabook offers to customers of all EPEAT-registered products, replacement parts, product repair and services for at least 3 years from the date of sale. These services can be obtained through contacting a Dynabook Authorized Service Provider
  4. Publicly available service information (4.4.2.2.)
    Dynabook makes available to the public for all silver and higher EPEAT-registered products, service and repair information. The information is availble by viewing or downloading our publicly available information guide
  5. Spare Parts (4.4.2.3.)
    Dynabook offers customers of all EPEAT-registered products the option to purchase certain compatible spare parts (same specifications or higher specification parts) within 5 years after discontinuation of the product to increase the operational life of that product. Examples of parts offered include:
    a. Tablet: AC Adapter or power cord
    b. Laptop: Mass storage device, memory (in some models), AC adapter, or power cord
    A listing of available spare parts by product can be obtained by contacting a Dynabook Authorized Service Provider
  6. Battery Replacement Information (4.4.2.4.)
    EPEAT-registered products may contain batteries that are replaceable once they reach the end of their useful life. For main product rechargeable batteries, such as those powering notebook PCs, tablets, etc., battery replacement services can be obtained contacting a Dynabook Authorized Service Provider
  7. Product Upgradeability & Repairability (4.4.2.5.)
    For products that claim 4.4.2.5., Dynabook makes available a minimum number of product upgrade or repair features available after purchase of the product. The hardware features that are upgradeable or replaceable without soldering or de-soldering and using only commonly available tools are listed in the table below.

    Available hardware features may only be offered as part of an upgrade, repair, or replacement service offered by a Dynabook Authorized Service Provider

    For a description of the repair or upgrade method for your product, including a list of required tools, please contact a Dynabook Authorized Service Provider. Damages caused by servicing of products by non-authorized Dynabook service providers or use of modified or non-Dynabook authorized parts or components is not covered by Dynabook Limited Warranty

  8. Provision of Product Take-Back Service (4.6.1.1)
    As part of Dynabook's Green Strategy, Dynabook provides our customers a no cost, nationwide (United States) recycling option using MRM recycling for Dynabook branded laptops and tablets which have reached their end of life.

    Purchased Equipment Return Process:
    a. Go to www.mrmrecycling.com
    b. Select Recycle Now
    c. Enter your U.S. Zip Code or City and State
    d. The options presented will include the closest geographical location to call or select the MAILBACK option
    e. If selecting the mail back option follow the prompts to complete the request
