- Issue
I want to disable theTouchpad or the Accupoint II pointing device. How do I do this?
- Resolution
You disable the trackpad or the Accupoint II pointing device by completing the following steps:
- Double-click on the Toshiba Dual Pointing Device icon in the System tray.
- Click the Dual Pointing Device tab.
- Click the Detailed Setting button.
- Uncheck the box next to the device that you want to disable.
- Click OK to close the Toshiba Dual Pointing Device window.
- Click OK to close Mouse Properties.
COMMENTS:
- In order for the above resolution to work, the Alps Pointing Device Driver must be installed first and then the Alps Dual Pointing Device Utility. Both files are available for download under the applicable model on the Toshiba Support Web site: www.pcsupport.toshiba.com.
- Pressing FN + F9 or selecting the Disable option for Dual Point Enable/Disable on the Dual Pointing Device tab will only disable both the trackpad and the Accupoint II pointing device.
