"Disc burner or software not found..." from iTunes ver 8 (when attempting to burn a CD)
- Issue
The message "Disc burner or software not found..." may be displayed by iTunes version 8.0.1.11 when you try to 'burn' songs to a CD.Additionally, the message "CD Burner: No supported Disc burners found" may be displayed after the Burn buttion is clicked (as shown below).
- Resolution
This problem may be fixed in a future version of the iTunes applicatiion. In the meantine, Toshiba has confirmed that iTunes version 7.1.1.5 can be used to burn songs to CDs.CAUTION: 'Downgrading' to earlier versions of iTunes is a complex multi-step process that can result in loss of access to the iTunes library on your computer, and other problems.
Some versions of the Apple iPhone do not work with versions of iTunes older than version 8.0.
