Issue

The Ctrl+Shift+R "Reply to All" keyboard shortcut for Microsoft Outlook 2003 doesn't work -- with computer models  that use the nVidia display chipset -- unless a change is made to a setting in nVidia's nView Desktop Manager utility.

The Ctrl+Shift+R keyboard shortcut is assigned by Toshiba as the command for display rotation, in the nVidia display driver, making it unavailable to work as the keyboard shortcut for "Reply All" in Microsoft Outlook 2003.

Procedure

It's easy to either re-assign the shortcut to another key combination or disable the shortcut key function for the nVidia driver.

Either solution will permit the Ctrl+Shift+R keyboard shortcut to function as intended in Outlook 2003.

Follow these steps to change this setting:

1. Right-click the Windows Desktop, and then click nView Properties on the pop-up menu.

2. When the nView Desktop Manager window appears, click the Hot Keys tab.

3. Double-click the Rotate action in the "Active hot keys" box.

4. To cancel the shortcut key assignment, click the Remove button while selecting the action you wish to cancel.

5. Optionally, specify a different keyboard shortcut combination in the  "Hot key stroke" edit box. Click the OK button to finish.
