- Information
You can easily change the actions (functions) assigned to the Tablet Buttons, including the Cross-Functional Button and the ESC Button in the Tablet and Pen Settings section of the Windows Control Panel.1. Click the Windows Start button, then click Control Panel.
2. Click the Printers and Other Hardware category.
3. Under the "...or pick a Control Panel icon" section, click Table and Pen Settings.
4. Click the Tablet Buttons tab.
The Tablet and Pen Settings window will appear. It will look similar to the one shown below. The embedded Button Location and Detailed View pictures will vary in appearance from one computer model to another. Consult the computer model's User's Guide and/or Detailed Specs for the exact location of the buttons. Both of these documents are available from the Toshiba Support website at http://pcsupport.toshiba.com.
The Tablet Buttons tab shows a list of six Tablet Buttons, and the 'Action' (function) currently assigned to each of them. Note that five of these Tablet Buttons are combined into one hardware control: Toshiba's joystick-like Cross-Functional Button. The ESC button is implemented as a second separate hardware button.
5. Click the name of the 'button' you wish to change, to select it, and then click the Change button.
6. Click the Action drop down button and select the new Action from those listed.
7. Make any additional changes in the Settings box, then click the OK button. The Tablet Button tab will re-appear.
Repeat steps 5 through 7 to change the Action and other settings for other 'buttons'.8. When you're finished, click OK to save the changes and close the Tablet and Pen Settings window.
9. Finally, close the Control Panel window.
