A removable storage device may not show up in Windows Explorer or 'My Computer', even though that device had previously appeared there. This can happen if a network storage device has been mapped and assigned the same drive letter that the removable storage device had been using.Follow these steps to re-assign a drive letter to the removable storage device:
1. Insert the removable storage device in the computer.
2. Right-click the My Computer Icon and select Manage.
3. Click Disk Management. On the right side of screen you will see the removable storage device, without a driver letter assignment.
4. Right-click the removable drive, and select Change Driver Letter and Path.
5. Click the Change button, and select an available drive letter form the list.
