It may be impossible to complete the installation of downloaded updates to the Toshiba-preinstalled Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, because CAB files requested by the installer are not present on the computer's hard disk drive.

Perform the following steps to extract and copy the Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 files from the archive located on the Recovery and Applications/Drivers DVD that shipped with the system to the computer's hard disk drive:

1. Insert the Recovery and Applications/Drivers DVD into the DVD drive on your system.
   
   
2. If AutoPlay is enabled, the Recovery and Applications CD application will open after a few moments; otherwise, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the DVD drive, double-click the icon for it, and then double-click the file labeled "Install".
   
   
3. Leave "Install applications and drivers" selected as the Install Type, and click Next.
   
   
4. Under "Choose an item and press the Install Button", select "Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 W32 English OPK", by clicking it, once.
   
   
5. Click the Install button.
   
   
6. When the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box appears, click OK.
   
   
7. In the next Windows Self-Extractor dialog box, uncheck "When done unzipping open: SETUP.EXE", and then click Unzip.
   
   
8. When the file extraction process is complete, a pop-up message will indicate success. Click OK.
   
   
9. Close the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box.
   
   
10. Close the Toshiba Recovery and Applications CD window.
    
    
11. Complete the updates for Microsoft Office OneNote 2003. If you are prompted for the location of the Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 CAB files, enter "C:\OneNote2003.temp".
