- Issue
Immediately following the installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2, the computer restarts. After the Windows Desktop appears, Windows may produce a "Blue Screen" error (the familiar Windows user interface disappears, replaced by a blue background, usually with an error message in white text.) The computer may then restart again.Turn the computer's Wi-Fi switch (antenna icon) OFF to prevent this behavior from repeating indefinitely.
This problem may occur when the following conditions are present:
1. The IntelPro Wireless LAN 2100 3B card is installed.
2. Wireless LAN driver version 1.1.6.0 is installed.
3. The Intel ProSet Client Utility version 7.2.0.0 is installed. (Either the Intel client or the Windows Configuration Client may be the active client utility).
4. The Wi-Fi switch (antenna icon) is in the ON position.
- Resolution
Upgrade the Intel Calexico driver to version 1.6.0.47 or newer, which may be found at http://pcsupport.toshiba.com- Export Control and EULA
