Issue

With a DVD in the DVD drive of a computer running Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, pressing Play on the remote right away may result in a "Video Error" message in the Now Playing window, or Media Center may quit after an "Access Violation" error message. This problem typically occurs only if Play is pressed less than five seconds after a DVD is inserted in the drive.

Resolution

To prevent this problem, wait more than five seconds after inserting a DVD before pressing Play.
