Procedure


Use the DirectX Diagnostic tool to determine which version of DirectX is installed on a computer, as follows:

  1. Click Start.

  2. Click Run, and clear out the contents of the Open field.

  3. In the Open field, type "dxdiag"

  4. Click OK. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will start, and display a properties page.

  5. The DirectX version number will be displayed at the bottom of the properties page.
