When connecting a USB storage device such as an external USB HDD, USB memory and so on to the Port Replicator docking unit with any one of the products listed below, an error message may appear while undocking. The device fails to undock successfully.

Before using the USB storage devices, please check which version of Toshiba Mobile Extension 3 is installed on your computer following the procedures described below, and update it. After updating the Toshiba Mobile Extension 3, in order to remove the computer from the Port Replicator, please always perform undocking operation.

i) Select Control Panel from the start menu.

ii) Click "Add or Remove Programs" on the Control Panel.

iii) "Toshiba Mobile Extension 3 for Windows XP V3.xx.xx.XP" will be displayed in the software

list of "Add or Remove Programs".

iv) If the current version of Toshiba Mobile Extension 3 installed on your computer is

V3.19.00.XP or older, please update to the new version V3.21.00.XP or later.

How to update the Toshiba Mobile Extension 3 to version V3.21.00.XP:

i) Uninstall the current version of Toshiba Mobile Extension 3

ii) Re-start the computer.

iii) Run "Setup.exe" in the compressed file "TME3v32100XP.zip" attached below or download version 3.21.00 or later from the Toshiba Support Web site.
