Issue

Installing Targus-Noteworthy Slimline DVD/CD-RW CardBus Drive (Ver. 2.0) NW930V2.

Resolution
  1. Download NW930v2 drivers for XP from Targus file name NW930_98_ME_2K_XP.exe (http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=NW930U)
  2. Unzip to C:\DVD.
  3. Enter the BIOS setup screen using Toshiba HWSetup from the Windows Control Panel, or hold down the Esc key while you turn the system on.
  4. Change the PC Card Controller Mode to CardBus/16bit.  Save your changes, and shut down.
  5. Plug Targus DVD/CD-RW PCMCIA card in slot.
  6. Boot Windows normally
  7. From the Found New Hardware Wizard, select Install from a list Specific location (Advanced)
  8. Browse to the C:\DVD folder.
  9. Click on Continue Anyway, click Finish.
  10. Check to see if you have the DVD/CD-RW drive under My Computer, Device Manager.
  11. Install your appropriate DVD software for Playback.
