Issue

Tecra M1 Centrino bundle may drop WiFi connection.

CAUSE:

By default, the drivers that manage the power-saving settings of the WiFi card, are designed to extend the life of the battery by reducing the performance of WiFi. This gives longer battery life but can cause WiFi connection problems when running on battery. It can cause lower RF transmission power while using laptop batteries.

Resolution
  1. Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Intel ProWireless and right-click for Properties.
  2. Select the Advanced Tab, choose Power Management, disable Default and move the slider to Highest.
