
Procedure to clear the "NVRAM" (None Volatile Random Access Memory)

The system BIOS v1.04 or older has a technical limitation to clear the CMOS (NVRAM).
When the procedure of clearing the CMOS is performed, if you do it without disconnecting the AC cord, time
and clock will be reset to 2001-01-01, 00:00. When the CMOS clear process is performed without disconnecting the
AC cord, the Server keeps Date and Time. After that, when you disconnect and re-connect the AC cord, Date and
Time will be reset.
- Procedure
Procedure to clear "NVRAM"
- Disconnect the AC cord from Server. Wait at least five second.
- Change pin 2 (CMOS clear) of the SW1 switch on the Motherboard from OFF to ON.
- Connect the AC cord and turn on the power and make sure that the version of BIOS displayed on the initial diagnosis screen is the latest.
- After the initial diagnostic program has been completed, NVRAM is cleared.
- Turn off the power and disconnect AC cord from the Server. Wait at least five second.
- Return pin 2 of the SW1 switch on the Motherboard from ON to OFF.
- Connect the AC cord.
