On high-resolution displays, the default font size is sometimes too small to read comfortably for some users.

If this is the case for you, you can change the Windows default font settings as follows:

  1. Click on Start, Control Panel, Display.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Click Advanced, select the General tab.
  4. Adjust the DPI settings. Note that Windows XP offers "Large" and "Custom setting..."  "Large sets the Windows fonts to 120% of the default size.  Custom allows you to fine-tune the setting by specifying the percentage, and showing you a sample.
  5. Click OK and restart your computer if prompted to do so.
