Before beginning an install of Windows ME
Use this procedure on a unit that has not had Windows ME installed on it yet.

  1. Begin the clean installation of Windows Me while the system is attached to the docker (to access the installation CD).
  2. After the file copy portion of the installation completes, remove the system from the docker for the remainder of the installation.
  3. After installation completes, dock the system and the devices will configure appropriately.

After an install of Windows ME has been completed
If Windows ME's install was completed while docked and the devices are not configured correctly do the following:

  1. Open the Device Manager and delete the PCI Bus.
  2. Reboot the system and allow the hardware to be re-detected and configured appropriately.

Note: Several reboots may be required during this process.
