The tool automatically gathers detailed system information, including hardware inventory, operating system configuration, networking diagnostics, power reports, installed applications, Windows Event Logs, crash dump information, driver data, and additional diagnostic artifacts. It then generates a structured evidence package that includes inventory reports, collection summaries, integrity verification records, and a validated ZIP file for submission to support or engineering teams. To support evidence integrity and chain-of-custody requirements, LogCollector automatically creates an Evidence Manifest and SHA256 hash catalog, and validates the final evidence package before delivery. The collector is designed to operate offline, does not automatically transmit collected data, and does not perform Root Cause Analysis. Instead, it provides a standardized, validated evidence package that enables accurate troubleshooting, analysis, and issue escalation.
