External HDMI Monitor does not work when connected the the Thunderbolt 3 Dock
- Issue
When connecting an external HDMI monitor to the Thunderbolt 3 Dock it does not connect or show a picture.
- Resolution
When connecting an HDMI cable to the back of the Thunderbolt 3 Dock ensure that the HDMI cable is inserted all the way into the HDMI connector. You may feel a stop prior to the HDMI connecter being inserted all the way in as shown in the diagram below on the left. However care should be taken to ensure the HDMI connector is inserted all the way in as shown below on the right.
