Information

Adding memory to your notebook computer is an easy way to increase the performance of your notebook computer.

However the amount and type of memory can influence the performance and stability of the computer.

1.   Always make sure to use Toshiba approved memory, as non-approved memory modules may cause system instability and/or malfunction.
2.   The Operating System you are using also has a maximum physical memory limit. For example if you are using a 32-bit version of Windows 7 starter the physical memory limit is 2GB where as the physical limit for 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium is 4GB.  For a full listing of maximum physical memory limits for all Microsoft Operating System please do a search for "Memory Limits for Windows Releases" (As of this time the URL is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778(v=vs.85).aspx but the URL may change at any time)
