If the End User has either OEM Vista Business or Ultimate, they can use a legally licensed version of Windows XP Professional. During the Install setup phase the Microsoft product key will be flagged as already in use it is at this time when the end user calls the Microsoft Licensing activation team at 1-888-571-2048 to have their Windows XP Professional product key re-issued. 

*** Important Points ***

• Downgrade rights ONLY applies to machines that comes pre-installed with Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Business. Other versions of Windows Vista does not apply.
• Toshiba of Canada Limited does NOT supply Windows XP media. End users must use a legally licensed version of Windows XP specified in the Microsoft Vista downgrade rights reference sheet.
• Toshiba of Canada Limited will supply drivers and software components to applicable models that comes reinstalled with Windows Vista Business. Please check the model and SKU number on the download and drivers section first to make sure the notebook has XP drivers and software components before purchasing the notebook computer. • Device manager may show some unknown devices after the machine has been downgraded to XP due to windows XP not supporting Windows Vista specific hardware components. For example PCI memory controller may show up in device manager as an unknown device in some models, this is normal to the XP operating system and does not affect normal usage of the computer.
