Connect to a wireless network

1. Open the charm bar and select Settings.
2. Select the wireless network icon .
3. Select the network to which you wish to connect and enter the login information.

NOTE: You can also connect from Desktop mode by clicking on the wireless network icon in the notification area near the clock and selecting a network to which you wish to connect.

Internet Explorer

The Internet Explorer (IE) browsers available in Windows 8 vary between the new app in the style of the Start screen and the Desktop program.

The IE browser in Desktop mode looks, feels and operates similarly to IE in Windows 7.

The Start screen-style IE browser has a new feel.
