Toshiba Media Player by sMedio Truelink+ allows you to connect to devices (local and remote) for media playback.
Opening Media Player
There are mutiple ways to access the media player.
- From the Start screen, click on the "Media Player" tile.
OR
- From the Start screen press "Windows+C" keys to open the charms bar.
- Select "Search".
- Type "Media" into the search field.
- Click on the "Toshiba Media Player by sMedio Truelink+" App from the search returns to open the media player.
Tutorials
Clicking on Tutorials will take you to a new screen with content explaining how to perform the following operations with the media player:
- Sound Source Selection - How to select a device for music
- Playback Device Selection - How to select a device for video
- Settings - How to access media player settings
- Searching
- Sharing - How to share a file
- Select Mode - How to select a file in the library
- Exit Playback UI - How to exit playback
- Seamless Playback - How to playback on a local or remote device
- Download - How to download a file from DMS or SkyDrive
- Upload - How to upload a file to SkyDrive
- Resolution+ - How to enable/disable this feature
NOTE: While viewing tutorials, you can choose to have the instructions presented for touchscreen and non-touchscreen (mouse) applications by selecting the "Mouse" or "Touch Screen" option in the lower Left corner of the App.
Settings
Settings allows you to make changes to the operation of the media player for the following functions:
- Playback
- Resolution+ (enable/disable)
- Media Receiver
- System (Restore Defaults/Refresh Devices)
To open settings:
- From any Media Player screen (Tutorial shown) press "Windows+C" keys to open the charms bar.
- Select "Settings".
- Click on "Settings" at the top of the charm bar to open the media player settings.
- Export Control and EULA
- Use of any software made available for download from this system constitutes your acceptance of the Export Control Terms and the terms in the Dynabook end-user license agreement both of which you can view before downloading any such software.
