
Display Brightness Hotkeys Do Not Work Properly

Try updating your display driver. From the support page, click "Download". Select your model, and click "GO." Then use the dropdown list to change to the "Display" category to find your latest display driver.
If that doesn't help, try reinstalling the Toshiba Value Added Package. From the same download page, change the category to "TVAP" to find it.
Finally, try a full system power cycle.
- Turn off the computer.
- Remove all attachments as well as the battery (if applicable).
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Next, reattach the AC power cable and reconnect the battery.
- Start the computer and tap 'F2' at the Toshiba splash screen to enter the BIOS (also called "Setup").
- Press 'F9' to reset system defaults.
- Press 'F10' to exit while saving the changes.
- Select "Yes" to complete the process.
