Installing Windows 8 Drivers

When installing a dynadock on a Windows 8 machine, perform the following:

1. Ensure your computer in ON and has a working internet connection.
2. If you have previouisly installed dynadock or Display Link software and drivers on the computer, perform the procedure found under PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED DISPLAY LINK DRIVERS. After uninstalling, go to the next step. If this is a fresh install, go to the next step.
3. Connect the dynadock to a USB port on the computer.
4. Allow Windows 8 to detect the dynadock and install the drivers. This may take 10-15 minutes.
5. Agree to the Display Link software "End Users Licensing Agreement".
6. Reboot the computer.

Dynadock installtion is complete.

NOTE: If you have a dynadock installation CD compatible with Windows 8, you can install the drivers directly from the disc.

Previously Installed Display Link Drivers

If you previously installed dynadock or Display Link software and drivers for Windows 7 and earlier you must uninstall them prior to installing the Windows 8 software and drivers. To do this use the "Add or remove programs" feature.

1. On the Windows Start screen type "add or remove programs".
2. Under "Settings" select "Add or remove programs" to open.
3. Locate and select the dynadock and/or Display Link items and select "Uninstall".
4. Reboot the computer and follow the instructions for installing the Windows 8 drivers above.
