When the room's dim or the lights go down, you can keep right on typing thanks to a LED-backlit keyboard on your Toshiba Satellite® laptop. Great for working on planes or in poorly lit cafes; it not only looks cool, but helps make the laptop more energy efficient too.
Not all models are equipped with the feature. If your laptop is equipped with the LED Backlit Keyboard feature, the "Z" key will have a Gray keyboard icon on it.
To enable/disable the LED Backlit Keyboard, press and hold the "Fn" key while pressing the "Z" key.
- Depending on operating system, the Keyboard Backlight flash cards may display.
- Depending on operating system, If notifications are turned on in the Function Keys utility, on-screen notification will display.
