How To: Connecting TV to cable service (no cable box) or antenna and programming channels
This article will outline how to connect a TV to:
- A cable service without a receiver (box) directly to the coax cable coming from the wall.
- A VHF/UHF antenna.
After connecting you will need to auto-program the channels on the TV to identify and store the available channels.
NOTE: The connection information shown below for cable TV assumes there is a working cable service / connection.
For additional information about TV inputs, refer to the TOSHIBA Knowledge Base articles listed below:
- Connect the coax cable to the back of the TV.
- Turn the TV on and set the TV input to ANT/CABLE to view.
- CLICK HERE to go to the TOSHIBA Knowledge Base article for auto programming the available channels.
