What should be done when an HDD Vibration message is displayed?
Answer
The vibration warning indicates that the system has sensed a significant amount of movement or vibration and that the hard drive has been temporarily placed in a safe condition to reduce the possibility of damage to the drive mechanism or the media surface. The temporary suspension of the drive operation may cause momentary delays in application perforrmance or a skip in an audio and/or video playback.
The HDD Vibration Protection can be disabled, however, for the protection of the hard drive and user data, it is not recommended. To disable this function or to reduce the sensitivity, search for "HDD Protection" in the Start Menu's search field. Then, select "HDD Protection settings.".
