
Weak Wi-Fi internet signal while on battery power

After removing AC power from your laptop you start to experience a very weak wifi internet connection that drops off and disconnects.
- Resolution
Change the Wireless Adapter Setting while on Battery power using the following procedure
- Click or press Windows Start

- Type 'power'
- Click on Power Options
- Click on the Change plan settings link next to the selected plan. (see Fig 1)
- Click Change Advanced Power Settings (see Fig 2)
- Expand Wireless Adapter Settings
- Expand Power Saving Mode
- Change On Battery: to Maximum Performance (see fig 3)-- After making this change, you'll have stronger wireless strength, but you'll notice your battery performance decrease.
