Can't Fast Forward or Reverse a Recorded DVD

Information

After recording a TV show (or any video content) using a TOSHIBA DVR (model D-VR650KU, for example), you can skip-index forward & backward across chapters, but may not be able to Fast Forward or Reverse the recorded video.

To prevent this from occuring, during setup for recording, set Auto Chapter to OFF (on D-VR650KU do Setup > Recording > Auto Chapter > OFF.) If you record with any other setting for Auto Chapter, you can only skip across chapters, and you will NOT be able to Fast Forward or Reverse.

Recording with Auto Chapter set to OFF allows Fast Forward and/or Reverse.
