Question
Is it possible to skip the Toshiba splash screen when booting a laptop?
- Export Control and EULA
- Use of any software made available for download from this system constitutes your acceptance of the Export Control Terms and the terms in the Dynabook end-user license agreement both of which you can view before downloading any such software.
Answer
On some models, this is possible. In the Start Menu's search field, type "HWSetup" and press "ENTER." When the application opens, check if there's an option for "Fast Boot" on any tab that includes the word "Boot." Fast Boot will allow the computer to skip the splash screen.
Not all models will have this setting.
Also, note that if you need to get into the BIOS (also called Setup) after enabling Fast Boot, you will need to reverse these options or hold down F2 while booting to load the BIOS and change the Fast Boot setting there.
