When using Windows 10 after playing videos from Netflix the video buffers or the computer slows down (lags)

Issue

 

After installing Windows 10 and playing videos from Netflxi throught eh Netflix App or Internet Explorer the video buffers or the computer acts sluggish / hangs (locks) up.

Resolution

 

Go to the power options settings dialog and change the power plan to High Performance. For help changing this option see the instructions below

Go to Windows Search and type in the words Power Options:

  • Select the Power Options application
  • Under the power plan Balance (Recommended) select Change plan settings
  • Select Change advanced power settings
  • Select High Performance from the drop down list of options
  • Select OK
