The following information is provided to help you when using Cortana on a PC running Windows 10

The following items are required to use Cortana

• Connection to the Internet
• Logged into a Microsoft Account
• A working Microphone

Preparing to use Cortana

• First you will need to be connected to the internet to be able to use Cortana
• Next you will need to be logged into a microsoft account.

There are 4 ways to access Cortana

1. Speak "Hey Cortana" to the microphone on your PC
   "Hey Cortana" must be enabled in the notebook settings menu - See below
2. Press the Microphone button to the right of the search entry field
   
3. Press Windows + C combination
   
4. Press the Cortana Button on the keyboard
   Not all PC's have a Cortana button
   

Enabling "Hey Cortana"

To enable "Hey Cortana" to get Cortana to start listening to your voice command:

1. Place the cursor in the search field
2. Select the notebook icon
3. Select Settings
4. Under "Let Cortana respond to Hey Cortana" Select On
