
FAQ: Loss of Keyboard or Touch pad after updating to Windows 8.1 and installing updates

After updating from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and installing component updates you may loose the use of the your Keyboard or Touch pad.
- Resolution
Remove the TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor application and then run Toshiba Service Station again to install the updated PC Health Monitor. NOTE: You must remove PC Health Monitor manually before running Toshiba Service Station. To remove PC Health Monitor follow the steps below:
- Press Windows Logo Key + X
- Select Programs and Features
- Look for and Uninstall TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor
Run TOSHIBA Service Station to install the updated TOSHIBA PC Health Monitor application. Follow the instructions below to access TOSHIBA Service Station.
- On Start screen, type Service Station, and then click Service Station from the list that appears.
- Accept TOSHIBA Service Station Utility Software Notice & Acceptance if required.
- Click Check for Updates and install any updates that appear.
(!) It will be necessary to move the TSS application screen to the right side of the display to reveal any warning notices that appear.
