The following support bulletin will assist in connecting the TOSHIBA Symbio Media Box and Blu-ray Player to streaming media services apps such as:

• Netflix
• Pandora
• Hulu PLUS
• Vudu
• YouTube
• CinemaNow

Also included is instructions for Exiting an App as well as Deactivating Connected Accounts when they are no longer needed.

Prior to attempting the connection, ensure the player has a working internet connection, wired or wirelessly.

NOTE: If a system reset is performed on the player, all app connections are deleted and will need to be setup again.

Connecting to a Streaming Media App Account

Netflix

Existing Subscriber

1. Press the "Netflix" button on the players remote control.
2. When prompted, select "Member Sign In".
3. On the next screen you will enter your account email and password using the remote control.
4. With the cursor in the "Email" field, press "OK" and use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your email address. Select "Enter" when complete.
5. With the cursor in the "Password" field, press "OK" and use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your password. Select "Enter" when complete.
6. When the email and password are entered, select "Continue" at the bottom of the screen and press "OK".
7. Once the account is recognized, follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the connection and view content.

Non-Subscriber

1. Press the "Netflix" button on the players remote control.
2. When prompted, select "Start your FREE Trial".
3. Use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your information. Select "Enter" when complete.
4. When all the information is entered, select "Continue" at the bottom of the screen and press "OK".
5. Follow the on-screen instructions complete your free trial membership to finalize the connection and view content.

Pandora

Existing Subscriber

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "Pandora" and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. On the welcome screen, press "OK" to activate Pandora.
4. Select "Yes" when asked if you have a Pandora account.
5. On the next screen you will enter your account email and password using the remote control.
6. The cursor will automatically be in the "Email" field. Use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your email address. Select "Enter" when complete.
7. The cursor will automatically change to the "Password" field. Use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your password. Select "Enter" when complete.
8. Once the account is recognized, your existing station list will appear and music will play from the last station you were listening to.

Non-Subscriber

Ensure a separate computer connected to the internet is available to activate your Pandora account during the setup process. You will be prompted to go to http://www.pandora.com/toshiba

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "Pandora" and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. On the welcome screen, press "OK" to activate Pandora.
4. Select "No" when asked if you have a Pandora account.
5. On the next screen write down the activation code.
6. Enter the activation code at http://www.pandora.com/toshiba and follow the prompts to setup an account.
7. After activating the player, creating your account and selecting a station or two on a separate computer, select "OK" to continue setup on the player.
8. Once the account is recognized, your existing station list will appear and music will play from the station you selected.

Hulu PLUS

Ensure a separate computer connected to the internet is available to activate your Hulu PLUS account during the setup process. You will be prompted to go to http://www.huluplus.com/activate.

Existing Subscriber

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "Hulu PLUS" and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. On the next screen when asked if you are already a Hulu PLUS subscriber select "Yes" and press "OK".
4. On a separate computer, go to http://www.huluplus.com/activate and enter the displayed Device Activation Code. Complete the information necessary to activate the player.
5. Return to the TV and select "Log in to Hulu PLUS" and press "OK".
6. Enter the email address and password for the account. Select "Next" and press "OK".
7. Once the account is recognized, follow any on-screen prompts to finalize the connection and view content.

Non-Subscriber

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "Hulu PLUS" and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. On the next screen when asked if you are already a Hulu PLUS subscriber select "No" and press "OK".
4. On a separate computer, go to http://www.huluplus.com/toshiba to create an account and get one week free. Enter the referral code displayed when asked. Complete the information necessary to set up an account.
5. Return to the TV and player and select "Already a Subscriber" and press "OK".
6. On a separate computer, go to http://www.huluplus.com/activate and enter the displayed Device Activation Code. Complete the information necessary to activate the player.
7. Return to the TV and select "Log in to Hulu PLUS" and press "OK".
8. Enter the email address and password for the account. Select "Next" and press "OK".
9. Once the account is recognized, follow any on-screen prompts to finalize the connection and view content.

VuDu

NOTE: The following information was created through the VuDu HD Movies app. When creating an account or logging into an existing account using the HD Movies app, you will also be able to access VuDu Apps as well.

Existing Subscriber

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "VuDu HD Movies" and press the "OK" button on the remote control.
3. On the next screen select "Sign In" and press "OK".
4. Select the account you have. Either VuDu account or Walmart.com and press the "OK" button.
5. With the cursor in the "Email" field, press "OK" and use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your email address. Select "Done" when complete.
6. With the cursor in the "Password" field, press "OK" and use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your password. Select "Done" when complete.
7. Once the account is recognized, follow any on-screen prompts to finalize the connection and view content.

Non-Subscriber

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "VuDu HD Movies" and press the "OK" button on the remote control.
3. On the next screen select "Sign Up" and press "OK".
4. With the cursor in the "email" field, press "OK" and use the up/down, left/right and "OK" buttons on the remote to enter your email address. Select "Done" when complete.
5. Confirm the email address.
6. On a separate computer, check the email for addressed used for the account. Click on the link and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set up.
7. Return to the TV and player and select "Browse Movies" and press the "OK" button.
8. Follow any on-screen instructions complete your free trial membership to finalize the connection and view content.

YouTube

You are not required to connect to an account to view content on YouTube.

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "YouTube" and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. YouTube will be displayed on the TV screen. You can browse videos and options using your remote.

Activate player and Sign-In to YouTube account

Ensure a separate computer connected to the internet is available to activate your YouTube account during the setup process. You will be prompted to go to http://www.youtube.com/activate.

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select "YouTube" and press the "OK" button.
3. Use the up/down buttons on the remote to locate "Sign In & Settings".
4. Use the left/right arrow buttons to select "Sign In" and press "OK".
5. On the next screen write down the activation code.
6. To enter the activation code you must either sign in to an existing account or create an account by selecting "Sign Up". Enter the activation code at http://www.youtube.com/activate and follow the prompts to setup an account.
7. After activating the player, the player will automatically sign into your account.

CinemaNow

Ensure a separate computer connected to the internet is available to activate your CinemaNow account during the setup process. You will be prompted to go to http://www.cinemanow.com/start

1. Press the "Home" button on the remote control.
2. Select the "CinemaNow" app and press the "OK" button on the remote control..
3. "Accept" the end-user license agreement by pressing "OK".
4. Press "OK" to "Get Started".
5. Select either "Start Activation" to sign up for an account or "Explore CinemaNow" to browse available items before signing up.
6. If you choose to create an account and select "Start Activation", follow the on-screen instructions to create an account to view content.

Exiting an App

1. To exit any app, press the "Return" or "Exit" button.
2. If requested, confirm you wish to exit and press "OK".
3. The player will exit to the ePortal.

Deactivating Connected Accounts

The following details how to disconnect the player from a streaming media service account. To reconnect, perform the connect procedure again.

1. To disconnect the player from an account, press the "Settings" button.
2. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the "Setting" icon on the left side of the menu.
3. Press the right arrow button to navigate to the right menu icons.
4. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the "System" icon.
5. Press the right arrow button to enter the "System" menu.
6. Highlight the "Deactivate Setting" menu item and press the "OK" button.
7. Select a specific service such as "Deactivate Netflix" to to disconnect the player from Netflix. To disconnect from ALL connected accounts, select "Disconnect all connected applications".
8. Confirm the request to deactivate by selecting "Yes" and press "OK".
