Issue

An issue requires the TOSHIBA Symbio Media Box and Blu-ray Player to be reset back to factory default settings.

Procedure

To reset the TOSHIBA Symbio Media Box and Blu-ray Player settings, perform the following:

IMPORTANT: When performing a reset, the following connections are deleted and connections will have to be made again:

  • Wireless internet settings.
  • ALL connected streaming media accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc...).
  • ALL other remotely connected accounts, servers, etc.
  1. Turn the player and the connected display device ON. Ensure the display device is set to the correct input to display the player.
  2. Press the "Setting" button on the remote control for the player.
  3. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the "Setting" icon on the left side of the menu.
  4. Press the right arrow button to navigate to the right menu icons.
  5. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the "System" icon.
  6. Press the right arrow button to enter the "System" menu.
  7. Highlight the "Load Default" menu item and press the "OK" button.
  8. Select "OK" to load the default player settings.
  9. The default player settings will be loaded.

After the default settings are loaded you will be automatically prompted to perform the "Initial Wizard" to setup the default language, resolution and aspect ratio.
