Issue
After installing Windows XP Service Pack 1, the Wireless LAN connection is disabled when coming out of standby.
Resolution

NOTE: You must be logged on as Administrator or as a member of the Administrators group in order to perform this procedure.

Add new DWord of "IrqRouteToPCIController" in the Registry by completing the following:

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Select Run.
  3. Type REGEDIT in the Open box and click OK.
  4. Select the following folders in the left frame: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pcmcia\Parameters
  5. With the above"Parameters" folder highlighted,click on menu item Edit.
  6. Select New, then click on "DWORD Value".
  7. Type IrqRouteToPciController in the box that is open. Type the name exactly as shown as it is case sensitive.
  8. Press Enter and leave the Data field with the default as "0x00000000 (0)"
  9. Close the Registry Editor window and restart the computer.

    You should now be able to connect to the Access Point.
