TOSHIBA CanvioLink App lets you access and share photos, music, video or files from your Canvio© Personal Cloud safe at home. Upload content right from your Android or iOS device and it is safely stored at home while accessible from anywhere via the internet. Stream your content to your Android or iOS device, either locally, via your wireless LAN or remotely via wireless or 3G/4G. All the benefits of cloud storage service without the security concerns or the monthly fees.

Requirements:

  • Toshiba Canvio Personal Cloud connected to the Internet
  • "Remote Access" in "Enabled" under "Settings" in the "Canvio Home" program installed on your computer.
  • Android phone running Android 2.3 or later, or Tablet running Android 3.0 or later
  • iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later

DOWNLOADING, CONNECTING AND VIEWING FILES

  1. To download, ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE go to the CANVIO PERSONAL CLOUD website (http://www.toshibastorage.com/personalcloud/) and click the desired link under "Mobile Apps" for Android or iOS devices OR go directly to the "Google Play™" or the "Apple App Store™" on your mobile device.
  2. Search for CanvioLink.
  3. Ensure your Canvio Personal Cloud "Remote Access" in "Enabled" under "Settings" in the "Canvio Home" program installed on your computer as mentioned earlier.
  4. Once the Canvio® Personal Cloud App is downloaded and installed according to the standard procedure for your device, select the App to launch the Remote Access feature.
  5. To log into the device, the CanvioLink will ask for the username, password, and PIN. The PIN is available under "Settings" in the "Canvio Home" program installed on your computer.
  6. Once you have connected to the Canvio® Personal Cloud, select the name of the digital media or files from the list.

NOTE: Your smartphone or tablet must support the filetype which you want to access.

To view complete information on accessing the Canvio Personal Cloud remotely, refer to the User's Manual located on the CANVIO PERSONAL CLOUD website.

If you are viewing a file that is not download or streaming compatible with the device, a message will appear stating that the “Media or File cannot be downloaded or Not available for streaming”.
