- Issue
System problems and boot lockups may occur after a BIOS update has been installed. System configuration settings that are incompatibile with the new BIOS are frequently the source of these problems. Toshiba recommends that the user always reset system configuration to default settings after upgrading the BIOS.
- Resolution
To reset the Configuration Settings in BIOS shutdown the system, then power up initiating a system cold boot. During the boot process, while the "TOSHIBA" logo is displayed, press the F2 function key. The BIOS or System setup utility should be displayed. Press the F9 function key then Enter to load the default configuration then press the F10 function key, followed by the Enter key to save settings and exit.
If the problem was related to a configuration incompatibility, the sysetm will automatically reboot and operate normally.
