Battery not taking a charge

In some rare cases, when a battery has been deeply discharged, the notebook may not appear to be charging once the AC power is applied.
- Resolution
Leave the notebook connected to an AC adapater, with the system powered off, for several hours. Eventually the software charge indicator will start to register the increasing charge level. At that point the system will begin the full battery charge cycle and will function normally.
