Troubleshooting a distorted picture on your DVD Player.

Information
  1. If using composite cable, verify the yellow video cable is in the yellow video port, not the green port. If using S-video, verify that all the pins are in good condition, might need to replace cord.
  • Please verify the correct video input is selected on the TV.
  • Settings in setup menu are not correct for component output.
  • To do so, please press setup on the bottom left of the remote.
  • Using the arrow buttons on your remote, please arrow down to Video.
  • With Video highlighted, please press the enter button or the right arrow, to enter into said menu.
  • Once inside the menu, please arrow down to video output and press enter.
  • Please highlight the type of connection you have, and press enter.
  • After completing this and it now shows what input you are using, please press setup until the menu disappears back to the DVD screen.
  • Please attempt to unplug the unit from the wall for 2 minutes. After completing this reset, please plug back in and test the unit again.
  • If in the VHS mode during playback, whenever you insert a tape and start playback, the automatic tracking feature continuously analyzes the signal to enable                       during playback.
  • If in the VHS mode, and the previous tip does not resolve the tracking, if automatic tracking cannot eliminate noises well during playback, press SET +/– to           eliminate the noise. “MANUAL TR.” will appear on the screen. Press it once for a fine adjustment or press and hold for a coarse adjustment.
