- Information
The following are common causes of a rolling picture:
- A rolling picture coming from a VHS tape is usually fixed by adjusting the tracking of your VCR.
- Some VCRs have auto tracking, however, if that auto tracking do not help correct the rolling, the tracking can be adjusted manually.
- On the VCR itself or on the VCR’s remote, there should be two tracking buttons, a plus (+) and a minus (-). Using these buttons, adjust the tracking until the image is to your liking.
- If after adjusting the tracking, the image continues to roll the VCR heads may need to be cleaned. This can be done by purchasing a commercial VHS cleaning cassette.
