- Information
The following are common causes and issues for this problem.
- If no image is being displayed when playing back a tape you recorded, the tape may not have been recorded correctly.
- Please make sure your TV is turned on and set to the channel or input to view your VCR.
- Please make sure when you are going to record you have the VCR set to the “VCR” mode, as opposed to the “TV” mode.
- If you have a cable or antenna connection, select the channel you wish to record on your VCR and make sure you are seeing it on your TV.
- If you have a cable or satellite box connection, select the input that the box is connected to, then set the channel on your box to the channel you want to record and make sure that you see it on your TV.
- Select the tape speed you wish to record at.
- Press the record or the two record buttons on your VCR or VCR’s remote to begin the recording.
- Press STOP when you are finished recording.
- Once you have recorded the program onto the tape, rewind it and play it to make sure the program was recorded correctly.
