Issue

 My player skips and freezes during playback.

Resolution

Some of the common causes of this issue can be found below.

  1. Take the disc out of the unit.
    • Verify that the disc is clean and not scratched.
    • If disc does not appear to be clean wipe it with a soft lint free cloth.
  2. Try other discs. Verify that they are clean and not scratched.
  3. Unplug the unit for 2-3 minutes.
  4. After plugging the unit back in, try multiple discs to see if they work.
  5. If problems persist, go to Toshiba Acclaim to begin the warranty process and click "START" to begin.
  6. On the next page read the terms. If your device falls under the terms, click "CONTINUE".
  7. Under "Choose Category" select "Electronics".
  8. Under "Model", choose your model and click "GO".
    NOTE: A live chat window may appear allowing you to get help during this process.
  9. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your claim.

To check the status of your claim, go to Toshiba Acclaim and enter your RMA number and e-mail address in the field on the Right of the screen.
