ITEMS REQUIRED:

• A television with an S-video connector.
• An S-video cable which can be purchased at most home electronics stores.
  

STEPS:

1. Plug one end of the S-video cable into the S-video jack on the back of your Satellite notebook computer and the other end into S-video jack on the back of the TV.
2. Turn on your television and select the appropriate video input.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. On the computer, right-click on an open area of the desktop and select "Properties".
5. Click on the "Settings" tab then click the "Advanced" button.
6. Click the "TwinView" or "nView" tab.
7. Click the "Clone" radio button.
8. Click Apply. You may be prompted for confirmation prior to applying the new settings. If so, click OK and then click Yes to keep the new settings. If not, continue with the next step.
9. Right-click display 2 and click the "Select output device..." option.
10. Click the "TV" radio button.
11. Select the video format (typically NTSC-M in the USA).
12. Select the video output format (Auto-select or S-video).
13. Click Apply.
14. Right-click display 1 and select "Screen adjustment".
15. Click on the radio button "Use display adapter scaling".
16. Click Apply.
17. Click OK.

COMMENTS:
The Fn-F5 hot key does not support re-directing video output to a TV.

Steps 1-8 will need to be performed each time that you want to display output to the TV.

Steps 15-18 are only required if you want the internal display to fill the entire screen while simultaneously displaying video output to the TV.

The S-Video cable does not carry sound. If you want to listen to the sound through your TV, it will have to be connected separately.
