- Information
Many of the Toshiba consumer electronic products that have home network cpabilities also feature Internet applications known as "Widgets". While many of these widgets are open to general use, some require that a customer account be established. Generally, Widget services that stream audio or video content such as pay-per-view movies or Internet radio require a customer account. Customer accounts are usually created from an Internet connected PC and then activated on the network connected device through the Widget application.
Currently the following widgets used with some Toshiba products require account activation:
- BlockbusterTM
- NetflixTM
- PandoraTM
- VuduTM
- FacebookTM
Not all Toshiba products have these feateures.
Deactivation of these accounts is required if, for some reason, they are no longer to be used on the individual pieces of equipment. Deactivation does not cancel the account, but merely breaks the association with the piece of equipment.
