- Information
- Note: This document is applicable only to Toshiba Portable PCs with internal V.92 modems. Please refer to the detailed specifications for your Toshiba model to determine whether you have a V.92 modem.
Modem on Hold requires phone line, ISP support and a separate analog phone set.
The V.92 Modem on Hold (MOH) feature requires three things in order to function:
- The host modem must support V.92.
- The local phone line must have Call Waiting.
- A separate analog telephone set. The modem does not have
voice/speakerphone capability.
Type 2 Caller ID and 3-way calling provide additional benefits. Type 2 Caller ID will provide caller ID information to the user when a voice call comes in while a data connection to a V.92 host is in progress.
3-way calling will allow you to originate a voice call while a data connection is in progress and successfully disconnect the voice call while resuming the data connection.
