Battery doesn't charge even though the AC Adapter is plugged in to the computer

Issue

When the remaining battery charge capacity is very low, in some cases the Battery may not charge even if the AC Adapter is plugged in.

This problem can usually be temporarily resolved by removing the Battery and AC Adapter for about a minute and reinserting the Battery and AC Adapter.

BIOS version 2.00 for the Tecra A11/M11 and BIOS version 1.70 for the Portege M780 were released to address this issue.

Resolution

Download and update the BIOS to version 2.00 or higher on Tecra A11/M11, and version 1.70 or higher for Portege M780.
