
TouchPad scrolling regions are too small

On computers manufactured in December, 2009, the TouchPad scrolling regions may be too small to be used effectively. This issue was corrected in production starting January, 2010.
If your computer exhibits this symptom, the scrolling regions can be adjusted in the Control Panel Mouse Properties, The TouchPad driver has been repackaged on the web to preset the default scrolling region to the improved setting.

There are two possible solutions.
- Adjusting the Mouse Properties Settings
- Download and reinstall the driver using the improved packaged default settings
1. Adjusting the Mouse Properties Settings
1. Go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Mouse, Device Settings
2. Click on the Settings Button.
3. Select Scrolling, One Finger Scrolling, then Scrolling Region
4. Adjust the scrolling region. Instructions will also be displayed on the computer.
Downloading and installing the improved driver package
