
Touch pad intermittently slow to respond or not responsive

The cursor will occasionally stop responding momentarily or will lag behind finger movement on the touchpad.
- Resolution
This is caused by a problem with the Alps touchpad driver and is resolved by updating this driver.
- Procedure
Download Alps touchpad driver version 7.2.302.203 or greater from this website, and install using the instructions below.
- From Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs.
- Select Alps Pointing Device Driver
- Click the Remove button
- After the uninstall is complete, reboot the system
- Install the new version.
- Reboot the system
