Installation Instructions
- Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop
- Uninstall the existing Conexant Audio Driver by clicking Start, Control Panel, Uninstall a Program under the Programs heading, Conexant HD Audio, then Uninstall.
- Restart the computer.
- On the Windows Desktop, double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
- Click OK, Unzip then OK again.
- If a User Account Control message is displayed, click Continue.
- A device driver installation wizard window will be displayed.
- Click OK at the Device driver installation window to start the installation
- A device driver installation wizard window will be displayed.
- Click OK at the Device driver installation window to complete the installation
- Restart the computer.
Driver Version Verification
- Run Device Manager.
- Double-click Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 under Sound, video and game controllers.
- Click the Driver tab and verify that the driver version is 4.36.10.0.
