Description

This driver is needed to insure the proper operation of the sound device in your computer. This driver is required for playback of Wave and MIDI files.

Installation Instructions

Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop
Uninstall the existing Conexant Audio Driver by clicking Start, Control Panel, Uninstall a Program under the Programs heading, Conexant HD Audio, then Uninstall.
Restart the computer.
On the Windows Desktop, double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.

Click OK, Unzip then OK again.
If a User Account Control message is displayed, click Continue.
A device driver installation wizard window will be displayed.
Click OK at the Device driver installation window to start the installation
A device driver installation wizard window will be displayed.
Click OK at the Device driver installation window to complete the installation
Restart the computer.

Driver Version Verification

Run Device Manager.
Double-click Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 under Sound, video and game controllers.
Click the Driver tab and verify that the driver version is 4.36.10.0.
